Barbara McRae Barbara, a former recruiter, Fortune 500 HR executive, and nationally known coach, is the founder of 20-Something-Careers.com (a Neon Whispers™ company). She specializes in helping students, college graduates, and young professionals nationwide know how to effectively use their natural gifts and talents to land their ideal job in today’s marketplace. At 20-Something Careers, Barbara and her team are committed to equip and empower young adults to fully enjoy their work-life.

Her background has created a unique set of skills that she employs to help students discover their passion and identify their perfect career. Barbara has been successfully developing the careers of adults in diverse industries for over 20 years. She understands careers from both sides of the equation – from the perspective of the employer and the employee. Barbara is experienced in working with all levels of employees from entry level to the executive suite.

Prior to working with clients privately, Barbara was Regional Human Resources Director with Cox Communications, Inc. where she functioned as an Executive Coach and Trainer to a dozen General Managers and their teams. She has designed comprehensive career development programs, focused on personal and organizational effectiveness and delivered organizational development interventions.

Barbara is a nationally known Master Certified Coach - one of only a few hundred worldwide. Barbara has numerous titles and certifications to her credit and serves on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Beloit College. Also an expert in parent-teen relationships, Barbara is the author of the Less Drama, More Fun and the bestselling book, Coach Your Teen to Success, a guide to helping parents coach their teens to become happy, healthy, successful adults. Her work has been featured in various media outlets, including radio, TV, national magazines, and newspapers.
