My passion for helping parents and youth stems
from the difficulties I had during my childhood in
communicating with my parents. I especially longed
for emotional support.
There is no telling what trouble I would’ve
gotten into - as an emerging teen - had
I not finally met Elizabeth, my godmother. My self-confidence
was at an all time low, but knowing her
changed the course of my life!
She was the first caring adult I encountered who
really listened to me and encouraged me to be my
truest self. Looking back I can see that she became
my role model for communicating with others, including
my stepchildren.
Due to Elizabeth’s positive influence, I developed
a keen interest in learning and teaching advanced
communication skills. This ultimately led to my becoming
a Master Certified Coach (one of a few hundred) and
licensing Coach Your Teen to Success™ and
the Study of You ™ facilitators
worldwide.
Today’s research supports what my godmother
already knew: that all kinds of risky
business can be avoided when teens feel safe confiding
in a trusted adult! I’m committed to unleashing
the potential of our preteens and teens. How about
