My path to becoming a life coach was forged out of the frustrations I sometimes felt in my early days as a counselor. I found clients were so entrenched in negative mindsets that they were unable to see all the possibilities the future held. A particular area of exasperation for me at that time was walking the fine line between my teen clients and their parents. Parents wanted me to “fix” the kids, when what the kids really wanted was to be heard, respected and understood. It was almost impossible breaking the impasse that sometimes ensued. So I began searching for an approach for helping my clients which was more solution-focused, goal-oriented and forward looking.

I wish I knew then what I now know as a Coach Your Teen to Success™ Facilitator! Since becoming a CYTS facilitator, I’ve become more confident responding to the needs of parents. Teen Frontier International equipped me with the tools and knowledge needed to coach parents in connecting with their teens in a deeper, more meaningful way. I have had several opportunities to introduce the Seven Simple Steps and HeartAccess model with positive results. I can almost see the light bulb go off as parents come to realize that their kids are not just monsters going through those “terrible teenage years.” They begin to exude a sense of confidence after being given the tools with which to begin making that heart connection. What a privilege it is for me to partner with them as they discover they have the resources to make it happen.

I am particularly excited about the Study of You™ program because I truly believe each of us was born with special skills and talents which when given expression will enable us to live purposeful lives. What a wonderful opportunity to help teens come into this realization before the burdens and challenges of life completely blind them to it. It’s so important for children to have adults in their lives who nurture their dreams.

My passion is to partner with teenage clients as they connect with their dreams and begin the journey of becoming who they were destined to be. I would love to be your teen’s partner on that journey!
