Praise
for Barbara McRae
Fun
to Talk with & Drug-Free
Barbara, we really appreciate your help and support!
Brett did get accepted at CSU… His maturity
has increased about ten-fold and
he seems to be hanging in there with academics, roommate,
dorm food, etc. We continue to randomly test him for
marijuana and it's been negative. What's been the
highlight for us is that he can actually carry on a
conversation and is fun to be around… He even
initiates "texting" us almost on a daily
basis just to say "hi" or ask what we're
up to.
Thanks again,
Barb Palmer
I Enjoy & Appreciate
my Son
Barbara, I don't quite know where to start,
except to say that I can't thank you enough.
I now have the most wonderful relationship
with my son , Kye. Before coaching, I saw
Kye as the "problem child." He is so unlike
me, his dad and his brother; and I saw these differences
as problems. Kye can't sit still and he always needs
to be around other people, he is rarely at home,
he lives in the moment and rarely appears to consider
the consequences of his action. I know Kye felt these
negative messages, although many of them were not
verbalized, and I know these (messages) have had
a negative impact on Kye’s confidence today, how
he feels about himself and how he feels about others.
Barbara, your coaching allowed me to see Kye's uniqueness. He has such
a beautiful Soul. I now see and feel his caring heart, and his love for
all. Once I realized that his differences make Kye who he is, and once
I learned to stop trying to make Kye into my pre-conceived version of
him, I’m able to appreciate him so much more. And, believe
it or not, I now often desire to have some of Kye's special qualities
- these same qualities I previously criticized.
More importantly, I can now help guide him
by valuing his talents and realize hispotential.
Focusing in his strengths has totally transformed
our relationship!
I also learned to listen without interrupting. I
wanted to jump in and tell Kye my views. Sometimes
it took everything in me to let my son talk, but it’s
worth it.
I truly believe that if I had not had the benefit
of your coaching, we (my husband and I) would have
driven our son further and further away, and he may
have looked for family in all of the wrong places.
The money I invested in coaching with you has done
wonders for my relationship with my son and I would
spend it again 10 times over!
When challenges arise, I now have tools to handle them.
I feel very strongly that I have a responsibility to continue to apply
my lessons from coaching to undo some of the damage that was created
when I "didn't know any better."
Thanks so much!
